Mourners could not hide their joy upon learning that the baby they were about to lower to the grave was alive. The baby, christened Emmanuel, coffin was about to be lowered when the aunt asked to view the body for the last time.

It is then that the baby gave a big smile when his coffin was opened to the astonishment of the aunt and mourners who had gathered at the family homestead. The child was rushed to the Kisii Referral hospital to receive treatment.
