One of the biggest beneficiaries in the new look cabinet is said to be former chief of staff Julius Karangi. According to the Weekly Daily, Kamau like Ngilu is not likely to make a comeback to the Transport docket even if he is cleared on any wrongdoing.
Ngilu, who is viewed as a liability in Jubilee circles, will be replaced by the chairman of KMTC Philip Kaloki who lost the gubernatorial election to Kivuthi Kibwana, reports the weekly.
Kaloki decamped from Wiper Democratic Party (WDM) and vied the Makueni by-election senatorial seat on a Jubilee ticket following the death of Mutula Kilonzo. He lost to Mutula Kilonzo with a wide margin.
Another name that keeps on cropping up as a possible replacement of Ngilu is former Mutitu MP Kiema Kilonzo. The ambassador to Turkey contested the Kitui gubernatorial seat on a Narc ticket and lost to WDM Julius Malombe.
