Sharp Division In Cord As Kalonzo Tells Raila He Cannot Beat Uhuru In 2017 & Should Allow Him To Contest Instead….(Read Full Details)

Cord co-principal and Wiper Leader Kalonzo Musyoka feels that he is the best candidate to dislodge Uhuru Kenyatta from power and is now urging Raila Odinga to back him in the 2017 general elections.

THE Wiper leader has been sending close allies of Raila to dissuade him from taking a stab at the presidency since, according to Kalonzo, a majority of Kenyans won’t support his candidacy, reports the Star.

Kalonzo, 61, feels that Raila cannot defeat Uhuru and he has the best chances of beating the incumbent. He reportedly told an ODM MP:

“He (Kalonzo) has personally told me he has a better chance of beating President Uhuru than Raila, so he wants Raila to step down for him………”

70 year old Raila has been actively engaging the youths through social media and urging his supporters to register as voters to counter the tyranny of number by Jubilee. He has also been traversing the country to solidify his presidential bid in the 2017 general elections.

Kalonzo and Wetang’ula preparation for the 2017 general election have been hazy at best.

The former Vice President wants Raila to respect a pre-elections pact that required him to pass the baton to him after he led for five years. ODM luminaries however find the agreement invalid since Raila never won the elections.

ODM Director of Campaign Junet Mohamed was quoted as saying:
“Take it from me, the only way he (Raila) will not be there (on the ballot) is if the world ends or Jesus comes back before 2017………”

Kalonzo however wants the agreement respected.

“He believes it is his turn and that Raila should respect that agreement, even though they lost elections,” a Wiper MP said.

Speaking in Bondo Deputy President William Ruto stated that the failure of Raila to clinch power was because he opted for Kalonzo as his running mate.
